The arrests took place around 11:40 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 19, when City of Beacon Police officers responded to the area of Main Street and Schenck Avenue for a past assault, said Det. Sgt. Jason Johnson.
The victim had been assaulted and robbed. A description of the attackers was given and a canvass of the area led to a foot pursuit with 31-year-old Cequan Kimble, of Beacon, Johnson said.
Kimble resisted arrest and was eventually taken into custody. A search of Kimble revealed he was allegedly in possession of numerous drugs.
He was charged with five counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance (varying degrees), criminal possession of a forged instrument, two counts of assault, criminally using drug paraphernalia, resisting arrest and unlawful possession of marijuana.
Police also arrested Steve Stanton, 38, and Ryan A. Manzi, both of Beacon, in connection with the attack. They were charged with gang assault and robbery.
Additionally, a 16-year-old resident was charged with robbery and gang assault.
